Division of Child Development
Behavioral and developmental issues can limit a child’s health, happiness and future. When these conditions are detected early and treated effectively, though, children can reach their full potential in life. The Division of Child Development of UMMC’s Department of Pediatrics works to train medical students, residents and fellows, through classroom and clinical experience, of how behavioral and developmental issues affect children and how to give them the most effective treatment. Research into new therapies, treatments and methods of diagnosis mean more children now and in future generations will have healthier lives.
